Jeffery Roman

I am an equity advocate, educator, systems organizer, and strategist working with grassroots, philanthropy, systems leaders, and the public and nonprofit sectors. I have been a driving force behind Milwaukee, WI’s expanding Black Male Achievement field and local and statewide racial equity and inclusion programs and policy initiatives.  I am also an Unapologetically Black! activist, organizer, and activist; a builder and sustainer of the Black community.

Professional Background: Former Racial Equity and Youth Development Roundtable Fellow with the Aspen Institute Roundtable on Community Change; former Executive Director of Urban Roots, Inc.; currently a Program Officer and a Policy and Systems Innovation Fellow with the Community Advocates Public Policy Institute; serves as a Commissioner and Chairperson of City of Milwaukee Equal Rights Commission; Campaign Director for Youth Justice Milwaukee; National Member of BYP-100
